Firstly, apologies from myself about the lack of updates to the website. The amount of coursework I’ve had already this year has taken me and quite a few people I know by suprise, leading me specifically to let down on other responsibilities such as the website.
Secondly, all the positions for the new JCR have now been filled and the Hustings will be on Monday 24th at 8:00pm in Pendle Bar. Please turn up to hear the people who may be running your college beg for your votes. Last year it was a great night, and this year promises to be even better with the people running for each of the positions. Everyone who’s running for a position will be telling you why you should (or shouldn’t!) vote for them. I for one want to make sure that nobody says on Thursday that they don’t know who to vote for.
Finally, make sure you get down to the Porters’ Lodge on Thursday to vote.
We’ve only got a few tickets left guys, make sure you get down to the Porters Lodge between 9 and 12 and in the bar from 12 until 5 today and tomorrow to make sure you’ve got your ticket.

The sign up sheets are up in the bar now along with information about what the role requires from you! You have until 6pm to get your names down. Hustings will take place in Grizedale Bar at 8pm Mon Wk 8
Voting will take place in the porters lodge from 10-6 on Thursday Wk 8 and results released on the Friday evening!

From this Sunday at 6pm Gz Bar will be showing Gladiators on the screens, followed by the quiz, with cash and prizes up for grabs, including Corona merchandise, and a night of awesome entertainment, this is a weekly event that you can not afford to miss.

The music system of one of our DJ’s has been stolen from the JCR. We ask that anybody with any information at all please inform any member of the JCR exec. We know it’s kind of early, but we need to start thinking of themes for Extrav! We want to make this the best event of the year so we are asking for your input! If you have any ideas for themes pop them on a piece of paper and post them in the key box at the porters lodge (Left hand side) All ideas will be considered!!
